I have a friend who works in Africa for many months every year, always in rural areas and his work involves alot of traveling around the different countries there, and when asked about how the Africans are viewing Covid, he said that they don't even think about it because they all have GASH. I'd never heard of this but it stands for

G    Gonorrhea

A    Aids

S    Syphilis

H    Hepatitis 

He's recently returned from South Africa and said, from first hand observation, that the average person doesn't even have Covid on their radar because they have bigger fish to fry with the GASH.

This does not bode well with Omicron.

I suppose for Africans it's a matter of perspective then.
