About bloody time too. NZ is to open it's borders in stages, starting in late February. Personally I think the full 5 stages of opening will happen sooner than stated in this article. I thank God for the journalist Charlotte Bellis who is pregnant and had to ask the Taliban for safe refuge since NZ, her home country, was refusing her access. Btw, the Taliban guaranteed her safety. 

She, being a journalist, had the contacts to turn her situation into a news article that has been published around the world and it has finally highlighted the ridiculous and discriminatory nature of NZ's isolation. Refusing her entry to NZ is violating her human rights. NZ, and in particular Jacinda Ardern, looks like a laughing stock in the world's eyes and I'm so glad that everyone was laughing. 

I'm quite sure that had the world not been made aware of the inhumane treatment of Charlotte Bellis, then today's announcement would not have been forthcoming. It turns out another 65 pregnant NZ citizens were also turned away. Outrageous.

Believe me the world (well can only speak from here lol) does not think New Zealand or Jacinda Ardern is a laughing stock.
