I was just thinking...I keep hearing how similar this is to the Spanish Flu. Did they have a large die off of birds prior to the pandemic? Or of another type of animal.

I do know know that the first warning was raised by vet after concerns regarding sick swine in the U.S. mid-west. The Spanish Flu was originally called "Swine Flu". There are indications that swine genetics were part of the mix, in addition to birds. That is why they refer to swine as mixing vessels. Edited by Rick - April 22 2006 at 6:55am |
