I know there are problems with remote working (I worked remotely for 20 years from 1996 so I have experience), but there also seem to have been problems with working in large offices.

Finland sees big drop in sick leave after nationwide remote working recommendation https://yle.fi/uutiset/osasto/news/finland_sees_big_drop_in_sick_leave_after_nationwide_remote_working_recommendation/11611784

Quote The report suggests that sick leave dropped 30 percent overall.

The drop looks to be even bigger in the public sector. Among civil servants and government employees, the drop was 50 percent.

I do wonder when the power bills come in for the companies, they will realize how much money they save with employees working remotely,

Vice versa....how much more would you spend on power at home less all the travel fees to and from work......

I have worked at home ,

Here in WA,since we had a lock down and some had to work at home, now it seems like people may go into office twice a week,

Less strain on puplic transport, mind more people driving to work think......social distancing.......

Stay safe all  😷😉

From comments from my son, I think that in most cases a hybrid system might work best, say like going in two days a week.  Some work can go faster with no distractions (I definitely found that), but there is also the need for face to face contact and interaction and the sharing of ideas (I found when in an office the informal sharing of ideas was a great help).
