Good find Kinetic and welcome to the discussion.
More evidence about about Human to Human transmission! The question is: Are we currently seeing a jump in numbers because of a normal seasonal spike Or are we seeing a jump in numbers due to a new strain?? If the virus was actively moving Human to Human. It would be found spreading across the world and popping up in places like Australia, USA etc. So we are in a pretty sure in the main we are dealing with a flu with an avian host. BUT!!! Recent mutations found in the south of China show up some concerning traits. H7N9 (mutant) now has the ability to jump from human to human. Even though this was a study which found this conclusion. The actual practical abilities of the virus to jump from Human to Human is not known. Its one for us to keep an eye on. If we see clustering in remote locations outside China. Then we know something is happening. Until then we are safe |
