My wife just mentioned that there was news of a health care aid from Texas that landed in Kenya today. It seems there was a bit of controversy as she left the airport without filling out an infectious disease form. Something that would not be a problem normally but things are a little edgy in the world right now. The rumor is she was caught up with by the authorities because of her remarks in a taxi. The taxi driver heard her say to her fellow traveller to watch out because he is African he might have ebola. Of course it came across as racist and out of line. The taxi driver complained and the police caught up to her and are making her fill out the infectious disease disclaimer forms. If you think about it from their point of view here you could see that she is from Texas and is in the health care industry and did not mention it or feel it was necessary to fill out anything. I will do my best to find out if it is rumor or real. It does show how crazy things can start getting due to ignorance and fear. So you are all aware about where I am coming from my wife is black and I am white. Gives us kind of a unique view on things sometimes.

I found it. Funny how things can be twisted. It is in Texas and the Kenyan was sent home from work. I see no mention of a taxi driver. It seems her employer doesn't know that Kenya is on the other side of the continent.

I hope this thing doesn't cause nations to treat each other badly. They need to work together to save as many as possible.
