I do however get a couple fo channels even with out the cable and on global 6 p.m news they had a segment on bird flu coming this way..pitures and everything went on for about 10 minutes...they did mention coming up where are your kids on the list for the vaccine..but nothing back on that yet..so I will have to stya up till 11 tonight and re-watch the news...

Good Morning America is supposed to have a special on Bird Flu on Friday morning, March 10th.

Edit: This begins on Monday - just caught the commercial

Starting Monday, ABC will begin a news blitz on bird Flu. They are running promo's now saying "NOT TO SCARE, BUT TO PREPARE".

Segments are planned all next week on GMA, Nightly News, & Nightline.

Michael Levitt will be in Pittsburgh tomorrow talking with UPMC hospital staff about bird flu preparation.  I am sure our local news will have a report.  Earlier today he was North Dakota doing the same thing.  He must be traveling around the country.

Leavitte is the best he has been worried about this since day one...and for anyone that does,nt know he was the one that appeared on the Oprah show a couple months back and did the Bird Flu special with her...

Yeah, Dr. Michael Osterholm was on Oprah's BF show  I would sure like to hear more from him these days.  Very calm, yet not one to mince words either.  I don't want the soft sell.  I simply want the truth!

It will be interesting to watch ABC's 2 day special report on the BF beginning tomorrow morning (Friday 3/10) with "Good Morning America", followed by the "ABC  Nightly News", & lastly, on "Nightline"

I just saw a segment on CNN this morning.  It aired about 5:am Pacific time, and last night they had David Nabbaum on too.  All of a sudden, all these channels are broadcasting bf stories.  It's great, but I'm wondering what they know that they are not telling.  It's like baby steps with the mainstream public, they are trying not to panic them, but letting them know bit by bit it's really coming.  How soon?!  They keep saying migratory birds will be here in months, but why are they not telling them that is only half the threat.  The real threat is it going h2h.  They just put that on the bottom of the screen and let it go by for them to read.

I find I am prepared and sad that others are not.
