Was watching Ron Hazelton's home improvement show and a new product he was showing was this 100 gallon emergency water storage unit.  It is called waterbob.    It is a plastic food grade collapsible unit you lay down in your bathtub and fill it up.  Also comes with a pump.  Went to waterbob.com and the price seems reasonable (24.95+free shipping).  Does anyone own one?  What do you think of it?

HI Tadeo..welcome, I've been on here almost 2 yrs. and I really make good use of this forum. We bought a similar item from Camping World, it's called Fold-A-Tank, a 45 gal bladder which fits on top of your truck cab, or back of your SUV or RV. It folds completly into a 11"x11"x2" little box for storing. We bought 2 of them to use in the garage or any wooden slab. I forgot the cost but it was mfg. by New World Mfg.Inc in Cloverdale, CA item # is 1605. We will check out the waterbob.com also. If they too fold down for storage these could be great! It come with an adapter, but you fill it with a hose.

I went to New World Mfg. Inc. website and saw what you were talking about but it did not list a price. There is a camping/rv place down the street from me and I think I will pay them a visit. See which one is cheaper. I am just running out of space to store all of these 1 gallon containers. Thanks for the info PATB!

Hello there, Patb and Tadeo  did you notice any expiration dates on the bags- just wondered if the plastic begins to break down or was there any mention of that ?  I have looked at some bags also in case you want to check these out..bayteccontainers.com/waterbags they start out at  74.95 for a 30 gallon and range in prices, they will lay in the back of a pickup truck bed or on wood ect.  I like the idea of the  waterbob for 24.95 /100gal.  Trying to find economical ways to store water - husband thinks i'm nuts. So need to buy little cheap purchases at a time.  Thanks !

You too? I'm pretty much prepping in secret as my wife's always joking about "Daddy's obsession with the plague". Just hope she doesn't go in the garden shed anytime soon...
I like the idea of collapsible storage containers. I've been thinking along the lines of 50 gallon drums, but they take up so much space, and I'd be hard pressed to hide them. Maybe if they were camouflage and not bright blue. I'll have to take a trip to my local RV store too and see what they have. Thanks for the tip.

Hoosiermom, no mention of exp. dates.  From looking at their web site it appears that these 100 gl units are for one time use.  The ad on waterbob says that it is heavy duty, FDA compliante food grade plastic.
At one time my wife thought I was a sandwich shy of a picnic when it came to all this preparedness.  I just pointed out that this is a form of insurance, it's comforting to know it's there but you hope never to have to us it!  After showing her this site she has now realized the reality of the situation.
