   i have a good pair 7-23 power. these will let me se the bad guys coming in the daylight. night is a different thing. i am looking at a night vision scope for my mini 14. i am also looking at a night vision scope(not a gun scope).
these will be 1st generation. Lord, i cant afford that high dollar stuff. look at the prices of 2nd and 3rd generation night vision.

when it is my time, i will stand before GOD. i will say that i did the best i could. this is my family. what would i be if i did not try to protect them.

	tigger, I am not going to worry about what is outside as long as it stays outside. If they try to get in or do something to cause trouble then they will find trouble. Unless it is a gang or large band it will be a hard task. We'll just find a way or make away when that time comes. I will not be alone. I'll bet you are not as alone as you think you are. Perhaps your brother can use a fire extinguisher for a weapon and don't under estimate your mom. Boiling liquids, coffee, soup or other and hot irons can be used as weapons. A can of hairspray and a cigarette lighter makes a great weapon. One of the most saintly women I know used an iron skillet over a mans head when he came in her house to get her son ( I was shocked). Then the son threw him through a window. I am afraid some people may get so jumpy they will shoot someone who comes to the door for a drink of water. I can't do that. I will ask then to go to the road and wait from behind the door. I will then put out what they need if I have it and they can be on their way. And my back will be covered. I wish you the best.
